These rugs are designed primarily as floor sculptures and as such are meant
to be enjoyed while looking down upon them. The designs are developed from a flowing
organic symmetry. By hand tufting wool yarn through a stretched panel of jute or
linen fabric a dense one inch thick pile is produced. This deep pile is then
sculpted with scissors and electric shears to accentuate the design elements
and to generate different tectures.
